I'd give it 6/5 stars if i could! amazing authentic food. the only downside is that i live several hundred miles away.
This place is perfect. I left my phone cuz the food was so good. They ran out and stopped me to return it. Very grateful for the hospitality.
Great prices and tasty food 😋..had the Don Alejo burrito tonight...it's gigantic and delicious...fried cheese cake is delicious 😋
The food here is great and fresh. Have ordered food here many times and it always tasted great and is hot off the grill. The owners are great and friendly people. Worth the stop to get your lunch or dinner for sure if you live in or are passing through Hartselle.
I recently visited Don Alejo Mexican Restaurant and had a fantastic experience! The location is very convenient, situated right on Highway 31 in Hartselle, making it easy to find with plenty of accessible parking. From the moment you walk in, you are greeted by a cozy and welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for a relaxing meal. The service was exceptional; the staff was incredibly polite and attentive, and the food was served promptly despite the restaurant being busy. Everything tasted fresh and truly authentic. It is an excellent spot for either a family night out or a casual get-together with friends. I will definitely be coming back!
My favorite Mexican food, Period. Their mushrooms are amazing. Everything I’ve eaten here is fantastic. Granted, not the same atmosphere as say, Julia’s. But, I love Don Alejos food better than any other Mexican restaurant.
Don Alejo is our favorite restaurant in Hartselle! The food is always good, friendly and attentive staff (even when they're busy), unbeatable prices, and we always see the owner working on the floor. It's very apparent this place runs on hard work, dedication, and love.
The service was very quick, the restaurant is clean and the food is delicious. Our server was very attentive. A very surprising gem in Alabama. We ordered the #7 and the shrimp chimichanga and it was very affordable.
